Derbyshire Neighbourhood Watch

Why should I join Neighbourhood Watch?

By joining us at Derbyshire Neighbourhood Watch you are joining a community who are passionate about making the places we live within Derbyshire safer, friendlier and more connected.

Derbyshire Neighbourhood Watch is not just about crime awareness, it’s about supporting communities and tackling issues within them.

Long gone are the days when Neighbourhood watch was viewed as curtain twitchers.  We are now proactive in our communities and have made real changes.  These include connecting with neighbours and bringing back the feeling of community.  By applying for funding for the area, street parties, community litter picks and other events encourage working together with the Police to make safer communities for us all. Derbyshire Neighbourhood Watch ensures our communities within Derbyshire are stronger than ever. #LetsStayConnected as together we achieve so much more.

Support you will receive

Regular updates via our messaging service

We send you updates about important Derbyshire news for your area, campaigns and crime prevention advice relevant to you.

Consultation on your opinion

We regularly complete surveys, both for our partners and for NW in the Derbyshire area.  This enables Derbyshire Neighbourhood Watch to make sure we are providing an effective level of support to our members.  It also helps us identify any additional areas where we can make real effective change.

Attending our Annual General Meeting

This is a way of connecting your fellow members and connecting with the Derbyshire Police Force and Police and Crime Commissioner.  You will hear about plans for the future and the work being done from the feedback you have given Derbyshire Neighbourhood Watch.   It gives the opportunity to chat with and build relationships with other Derbyshire Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinators and to hear what they have done.

Funding Application Support

At Derbyshire Neighbourhood Watch we can support you with applying to your local parish council for small pots of funding for your local area and to larger funding organisations.   The advice we can give will help you make a positive impact in your community.
